What brings you to The Armory Show? 

Oh, just to see the various artists. I love all types. I recently moved to New York City, so it’s fun to have access to such incredible events like this. 

Where were you located before? 

Very different environment. I was in Colorado.

What’s the art scene like there? 

Barely emerging. I think there’s pockets, particularly if you get to Boulder or Aspen, but it’s a different aesthetic. I like the local artists here in New York because they’re really innovative, and you’re seeing so much creativity come through. But, of course, you’re going to see a lot of European and Asian art here, which are some of my favorites as well. 

Do you see any crossovers between art and tech? How do you feel about the whole AI thing going on?

It’s hard not to think about AI when it comes to work and life, but I hope it doesn’t disrupt the creativity that comes through the art that we see here, right? If it can inspire, if it can create more mediums, that’s wonderful. I do trust that artists are going to tap into that. But, you know, I think in most industries, AI is seen as competition to the human touch and human talents. So I hope these artists can create more with it than against it. 

Tell us about your outfit. You look stunning. You look like part of the artwork here. 

Thank you. I do think of how you dress as a form of expression. That is my source of creativity because if I’m not working, that’s my form. I was drawn to something a little flowy, a little easy. I do think I was very intentional. I’m going to be surrounded by art, so which piece kind of feels more connected to it I guess.
