Tell us about your look today.
I have a mix of some vintage pieces and some Ralph Lauren pieces that I’m wearing. The shoes are vintage Vivienne Westwood.
How does coming to art fairs influence the way you dress?
I’m inspired by galleries and art and artists for practically everything that I do. When I travel, my first priority is always to go to museums.
What are some of your go-to spots in New York for inspiration?
That’s a hard one. For inspiration, I usually go to the MoMA. One of my other favorite museums in New York is the Noguchi Museum. I’m personally very inspired by artists and their style. But I also get really excited to go to places in Europe because I tend to see the same things here in New York.
How do you feel about the Armory Show so far?
So far it’s been really great. My favorite thing about The Armory Show is seeing established artists next to upcoming artists. I saw a small Cy Twombly on a wall with emerging artists. Love that mix.
Are you born and raised here in New York?
I’m born in Germany and I grew up in India. But then I lived in the US for many years.
How do you feel like that background has kind of informed you culturally?
I think my diverse upbringing keeps me open to everything. I’m always curious about things I don’t know.
